Directions from Penrith: Take the A6 to Eamont Bridge and turn right at the mini roundabout. Pass through Yanwath and take the left fork signposted for Askham. Follow the road and pass through Askham to Helton, stay on this road and continue past Setterah Park (ignore Satnav) and take the first turn on your right signposted Widewath. 

From the South – Exit M6 at Junction 39. Follow A6 through Shap. To the north of Shap village take left turn signposted Bampton and Haweswater. Continue on this road through Bampton Grange, Bampton and Butterwick. At the road sign for Helton take the turn on your left signposted Widewath Farm.
